- Stars on 45 is a song medley issued in January 1981. It was recorded by a Dutch studio group. It went on to be a huge success in the UK, where it kicked off a craze for medleys.
- Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers would go on to revive the medley format. Aided by the Jive Bunny animated character, and derided by critics, this incarnation, reached the number one spot in 1989.
